Eight high-achieving business students have been selected as the 2026 Ourso Outstanding Eight, the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business' most prestigious undergraduate honor. The 2026 Ourso Outstanding Eight honorees are María Anzola of Valencia, Venezuela; Fernando Cárcamo Soler of La Ceiba, Honduras; Chloe Chehardy of Mandeville, Louisiana; Christen Chehardy of Mandeville, Louisiana; Alexander Doga of Lafayette, Louisiana; Mekhi Glover of Rockford, Illinois; Macy McCalip of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Svenya Stoyanoff of Bath, Louisiana.
On March 20, the LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business hosted its second AI in Action Symposium, bringing together Louisiana businesses and leaders to discuss what comes next after AI experimentation. With $22 billion in data center infrastructure commitments, including investments from tech giants Meta and Amazon, Louisiana is rapidly becoming a physical node in the global AI supply chain.
A team of students from the Flores MBA Program earned fourth place at the 13th annual Southeastern Conference MBA Case Competition, hosted by the Texas A&M University Mays Business School. The SEC MBA Case Competition, established in 2013, provides opportunities for SEC business schools to showcase their students’ skills at solving simulated, real-world problems faced by a large corporation. Dell Technologies served as this year’s case client.
