Mitch Mason might have felt like a fish out of water getting into the sea of entrepreneurship. The LSU swimmer headed to Baton Rouge as a mechanical engineering major with no real business experience. However, thanks to an engineering design assignment in high school, Mason had an idea that was primed for success.
To support the Geaux Communicate initiative, LSU recently launched the inaugural Communication-Intensive (C-I) Teaching Fellows program. But for Kaleb Huckeba (BS Accounting '17, MAcc '18) and Reka Perry (BS Accounting '15, Macc '16), this dream became a reality as the couple took a risk to pursue their passion for living abroad.

What Degrees are LSU Students Getting? Engineering, Business Soar: The number of undergraduate degrees from LSU grew from 4,529 in 2012-2013 academic year to 4,839 in 2022-2023, according to the university's Office of Budget & Planning. Within this timeframe, the College of Business grew from 634 graduates to 826, a 30% increase.
