Campus Construction Projects
In the coming months and years, several major construction projects will be occurring across areas of campus. As part of our continued communication plan, we would like to share some important information as it relates to the upcoming projects and how this may affect campus. As more information becomes available, we will send updates on how these projects will affect those on campus. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but we assure you that these projects are crucial to improving our campus.
In addition, we ask people to please be mindful of several items:
- Allow for extra time in your daily commute, planning alternative traffic and pedestrian routes as needed.
- Stay informed through updates that we will provide through our official channels.
- Below we have listed out a general timeline and several initial impacts to the parking and transportation plan.
Construction began in late May on Fieldhouse Dr. from S. Campus Dr. until the traffic circle. Parking and pedestrian traffic has been affected in this area. B Permit and C Permit holders have been sent procedures on where to park and how to access lots. While the street is currently open to traffic, parking is not permitted at this time. Fieldhouse Dr. is expected to shut back down in December 2023 and further construction will continue to take place until Fall 2024.
South Campus Dr. is expected to be shut down November 21, 2023 until March 2024 (weather pending). No thru traffic will be allowed. During this time, the Human Ecology C Lot will be affected and those parking in the Forestry Lane C Lot must enter Forestry from South Stadium. More information will be provided to permit holders at a later date.
