Search for Providers

LSU First has three (3) networks of providers – First Choice, Verity, and Aetna. To find a provider, you may search the individual networks or you can utilize the ClearCost Health search engine that combines all 3 networks – First Choice, Verity, and Aetna ASA – as well as any direct contracts (Woman’s Hospital and Our Lady of the Lake).

ClearCost also offers a price transparency solution that provides estimated costs and plan coverage information before you seek care. This tool will help with making more informed decisions, choosing the most cost effective providers/facilities and giving you peace of mind so you can focus on your health instead of your wallet.

To utilize the ClearCost search engine, you must be logged into your WebTPA account. Once logged in, you will click on “Find a Provider”. This will launch ClearCost where you can search by a variety of specialties or services.

Any providers not participating in the above networks will be considered Out-of-Network. This may include ancillary services received at in-network facilities, such as emergency room physicians, anesthesiologists, etc. After your HRA is exhausted and your deductible is met, the Plan pays 60% of the Maximum Allowable Charge (MAC); you pay the remaining 40% plus any billed charges over MAC

Please be aware that some network facilities may use ancillary providers such as emergency room physicians, pathologists, radiologists, or anesthesiologists who are not part of the First Choice, Verity HealthNet, or Aetna ASA networks. These providers would be considered Out-of-Network. If you are scheduling a procedure at a facility, contact the facility directly to find out what ancillary providers it may use so you can better determine your out-of-pocket costs.
