Registering with Disability Services
A student with an eligible disability can register with our office by completing documentation. Please visit the forms tab to complete the documentation related to the nature of the disability. Once the completed documentation is received, please allow 5-7 business days for notification. Students will be notified of the status through their LSU email.
To learn more about accommodations, please visit types of eligible accommodations.
For those Already Registered with LSU Disability Services
Each semester, you must complete a Request for Accommodation Letter Form using your myLSU credentials. Updated accommodation letters can be accessed through this portal on the first day of classes. If you have trouble accessing your accommodation letter, please do not hesitate to contact us.
COVID-19 Protocols for Spring 2022
Disability Services will continue to register and provide accommodations to students with disabilities throughout the Spring 2022 semester. New student registrations and returning student appointments may be held in-person, through phone call, or via Zoom. In keeping with the current mask mandate, Disability Services does not provide mask exemptions.
If you are enrolled in an online course, most in-person accommodations apply to online instruction.
The DS Testing Center is fully operational. DS Testing staff will proctor both computer and paper-based exams. Staff will provide testing accommodations for students who are registered with DS and approved for such accommodations. In keeping with the university mandate, masks must be worn during testing and while in Johnston Hall.
