Paul C. Young Award
The psychology department gives this award annually to honor the most outstanding senior in psychology. The winner will be announced during the Psi Chi Induction ceremony in the in the spring semester of each year. View the LSU Psychology Club / Psi Chi webpage.
- Anyone who graduated in the preceding summer (August) or fall (December) or who is graduating in May
- Must have a cumulative 3.50 or better overall GPA
- Must have a 3.50 or better GPA in psychology courses
Any psychology major meeting the eligibility requirement should turn the materials in to the front office (236 Audubon Hall) following the posted guidelines. They should submit them in a single envelope, including the faculty letter of support.
- Current, official copy of LSU transcript
- One letter of support from a member of the Psychology Faculty
- Personal statement of no more than two double-spaced pages that describes honors, research experience, and career goals
- A résumé or curriculum vitae, including contact information
The recipient’s name will be placed on a plaque in the main office in Audubon Hall, a certificate of recognition will be given to the recipient, and the recipient will receive a $100 award.
