Arrival & Orientation

When you arrive at LSU, you'll have several orientation tasks to help you get started in your on-campus activities. These tasks will be arranged by our office, your department, and (if you are an LSU employee) the Human Resources Management office. Follow the links below to learn more about getting started at LSU.

Check in with Us

Upon your arrival, we recommend checking in with us at the International Faculty & Scholars Office (IFSO) to confirm that all of your immigration and employment paperwork has been submitted.

Contact Your Department

Throughout your arrival and first weeks, it's important to stay in touch with your hiring/host department; your department contact will arrange most of your orientation tasks.

Follow HRM Steps

If you are an LSU employee, be sure to work with your department to complete the Human Resources Management (HRM) orientation tasks below. These tasks will help you access benefits, review policies, and learn about your new community.
