The Recruit Academy will be 12 weeks in length with an additional 2 weeks of Driver/Operator Pumper training.

Please Note: If more than one course charge is shown, the first and second charges apply to recruits sponsored by Louisiana Municipal Fire Departments who are issued a Fire Department ID from the State Fire Marshal's Office and are supported by the 2% Fire Insurance Fund. The third charge applies to all non-Louisiana Municipal Fire Departments including state agencies (in-state and out-of-state), out-of-state fire departments, federal agencies, and the private sector, etc.
For recruits that are sponsored by a Louisiana Municipal Fire Department that meets the criteria listed above, additional documentation is required to determine price and course details. The documentation will be provided by the LSU FETI registration coordinator once it is determined that the recruit is eligible.
