In 2021, the Louisiana Legislature supported efforts to transfer responsibility for
statewide firefighter and emergency training from LSU FETI to the Office of the State
Fire Marshal to run the new Fire & Emergency Training Academy, effective January 1,
2022. During this transition period, LSU and the State Fire Marshal are coordinating
on all training classes, and the dates reflected within this website and below should
be considered current and official.

Institute as well as nationally through the use of adjunct instructors and mobile

bringing your entire department, the realism of FETI fossil-fueled props combined
with our knowledgeable and safety-oriented instructors provides the best training
environment available.
FETI offers a dedicated HazMat training field with industry-experienced instructors
to provide the most realistic and accurate training available. Our scenario-based
training provides both theory and practical hands-on application across all certification
levels.
The unique challenges of the marine environment are duplicated on FETI's live-fire training
field. Whether battling ship-board fires or operating as a Helicopter Landing Officer
on an oil platform, our knowledgeable staff can create a scenario designed to your
specifications.
FETI has one of the most complete rescue training fields in the country. Our knowledgeable
and proven instructors work to create an immersive training environment which can
challenge and teach all levels.
