Industrial Confined Space Rescuer

Course Description

The Industrial Confined Space Rescuer course is designed to provide students the foundation of simple rope and rigging systems as well as factors that affect rescue in industrial confined space incidents. Some skills that candidates for this course will learn are knot tying, rescue equipment identification and use, hazard identification and mitigation strategies, and patient retrieval techniques. This course meets selected objectives from the confined space section of NFPA 1006 Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications and the training requirements for OSHA 1910.146 Permit Required Confined Spaces.
