Course Description:

Course is designed to satisfy the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard 24-hour training requirement for personnel engaged in emergency response activities. The course provides a balance of classroom-based lecture, demonstration and hands-on drills designed to challenge the student. Upon completion of this course, the students shall have the necessary knowledge and skills to control and mitigate a hazardous materials release in an efficient and safe manner. Effective response can limit or prevent losses due to injury, property damage, downtime, or further releases to the environment. The course focus is on possible emergencies that may develop during routine industrial activities.
