Summer Leadership Institute
Each year, the LSU Office of Academic Affairs hosts its annual Summer Leadership Institute. Faculty members that hold administrative positions (e.g. Associate Dean, Department Chair/Director) are invited to attend. The goal of the institute is to provide useful information, such as policy or procedural updates, in preparation for the upcoming academic year. In addition, the Executive Vice President & Provost provides an update on current university initiatives and priorities.

New Faculty Summit
Newly hired faculty are invited to attend LSU's annual New Faculty Summit where they will learn more about how LSU can support their teaching, research, and community outreach.
Presenters for 2023 include Executive Vice President & Provost Roy Haggerty, Faculty Senate President Inessa Bazayev, Senior Vice Provost Jane Cassidy, Interim Vice President Brandon Common, Vice President Todd Manuel, and Vice President Robert Twilley.

REFRESH
New Energy for Teaching
Join us for this event focused on improving undergraduate teaching featuring keynote speaker Zakiya Wilson-Kennedy, the Ron and Dr, Mary Neal Distinguished Associate Professor of Chemistry Education and Associate Dean for Diversity & Inclusion for the College of Science. REFRESH is held on annual basis before the start of the fall semester and focuses on improving undergraduate teaching. All faculty are invited to attend.

Promotion & Tenure Recognition Ceremony
Each year, the LSU Office of Academic Affairs hosts a recognition ceremony for all faculty that have been promoted and/or received tenure. The professional milestones the honorees have reached signal outstanding accomplishments in teaching, research, and service for which LSU is known.
