Components
Components are a form-based type of reusable content that allows non-HTML content managers to leverage complex styling or coding.
To use a component:
- When in Edit mode, place cursor in the location you would like the feature to appear
- Select "Insert Component"
- Select the Component
- Add content to the Component Fields

LSU is pleased to welcome Andrew W. Parker as Assistant Professor of Oboe, beginning in August 2024.
LSU's "Bird Lunch" event brought together researchers across campus to share their avian-focused studies. From penguin diets to the evolution of red eyes in birds, the lunchtime presentations highlighted the breadth of bird research at LSU. The event fostered collaboration among researchers and discussions are underway to expand the audience to include undergraduates and the general public.

Becnel, who is a graduate of LSU’s Mechanical Engineering program and has a master’s degree and Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland, understands the importance of drone technology, especially in Louisiana.
The LSU College of Human Sciences & Education announces John Nauright, PhD, as director of the LSU School of Kinesiology and will also serve as the Karen Wax Schmitt and Family Endowed Professor. Nauright will assume his role on June 1.
ith hurricane season around the corner, a team of LSU researchers is exploring the feasibility of FORTIFIED® elevated manufactured homes as a solution for lower- and middle-income residents in high-risk areas. The outcomes of the project have the potential to enhance housing supply significantly, particularly in areas prone to natural disasters, offer greater safety to residents, and reduce burden on the National Flood Insurance Program and other disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief endeavors.
