The UWP is one of the largest educational programs in the state of Louisiana. We teach thousands of students how to write better each year. Here at LSU, we have two main required writing classes: English 1001 and English 2000. These two classes are sequenced to help us begin exploring how to think and write critically and rhetorically in the 21st century. Then we shift toward thinking more about how we put writing to work in different, specialized fields of knowledge. We offer some of the smallest classes on campus, and our faculty work with our students one to one to help them improve. Writing connects with everything.
