LSU Students Place 2nd at the 2024 LASHRM Case Competition
LSU, represented by two teams, attended the 2024 LASHRM Case Competition. The teams were made up of students from the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development and the Rucks School of Management. At the conclusion of the event, one LSU team landed 2nd place in the state-wide event.
$4.5 Million Grant to Study and Reduce Bias Against Black and Hispanic Faculty in Promotion and Tenure Processes
Tracey Rizzuto, professor in the School of Leadership & Human Resource Development, is LSU PI, and Christiane Spitzmüeller, professor at UC Merced, is the lead investigator for the $4.5 million NSF grant that will create a Center for Equity in Faculty Advancement.

Gunaldo Selected as One of 10 LSU Global Ambassadors

Mitchell Leads Multi-Institutional Effort with NASEM Grant Researching Safer Offshore Energy Systems
The LSU School of Leadership & Human Resource Development (SHLRD) proudly announced Tyree Mitchell, PhD, was one of five research teams awarded a prestigious grant from the Gulf Research Program (GRP) of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). Mitchell's grant aims to support projects focused on enhancing safety culture and safety management systems (SMS) in the offshore energy industry.

Ed Holton Selected for AHRD Hall of Fame
According to the Academy of Human Resource Development, "The HRD Scholar Hall of Fame Award is presented to scholars in human resource development and related disciplines who have made enduring contributions to the Academy's mission of Leading Human Resource Development through Research." Upon reflecting on his work, service, and devotion, it comes as no surprise that Professor Emeritus Elwood "Ed" Holton, EdD, has been selected for the AHRD Scholar Hall of Fame Award.
