Biography

Matt Lee is currently the Interim Vice President for Agriculture & Dean, College of Agriculture. Prior to this, he served as interim Executive Vice President & Provost, Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Support Services, and Senior Associate Vice President for Research. A sociologist by training, his areas of expertise are criminology, public health and community resilience. He has published more than 60 scholarly papers and is an NSF CAREER awardee. He served as the institutional lead on the $9 million dollar Consortium for Resilient Gulf Communities, and is a vocal proponent for public sociology.
