Scholarships

When it comes to investing in your future, know that you are not alone. The College of Agriculture is proud to offer scholarships to first-year and continuing students to make LSU an affordable option to pursue your dreams. Many of these scholarships are made possible through our passionate alumni who represent LSU proudly in careers spanning the food, fiber and natural resources industries. Because of their generosity, the College of Agriculture annually awards over $250,000 in scholarships to promising students pursuing careers in the agricultural sector.

First-Year and Transfer Student Scholarships

Students who have applied to LSU as a College of Agriculture major and have been accepted are eligible to apply for College of Agriculture scholarships. Our scholarships are supplemental, and aid in making LSU an affordable option for our students. Students should submit an application through Blackbaud Award Management by February 1 of each year.

To be considered for scholarships, students must complete their scholarship applications in the Blackbaud Award Management (BAM) system. Students must click "Sign In" at the top right corner of this page. This will direct them to the login screen where they can use their myLSU credentials to access and complete the general scholarship application as well as any supplemental scholarship applications for scholarships that they may be recommended for.

This term refers to your scholarship application in Blackbaud Award Management (BAM). All students will need to complete a General Application in BAM in order to apply for scholarships in-system. This is not to be confused with a general application for admissions or the Common App.

The amount stated is for general information purposes and not a guarantee of what a student may receive if awarded. Actual award amounts can vary based on recipient eligibility, available funds, and other factors.

The deadline to apply for Agriculture-related scholarships is February 1. If you have questions about these scholarships, please contact agri@lsu.edu.

Upon completion of the General Application and any Supplemental Applications, you will be auto-matched with scholarships for which you meet the criteria. These scholarships indicate “None” under “Action” and require no additional information from you for consideration. A limited number of scholarships indicate “Apply” under “Action” and require individual applications for consideration. A list of these scholarships can be found by viewing Recommended Opportunities from the Opportunities tab.

64 Parish Strong

From beef production in Bossier to sugarcane in St. James to apparel design in Orleans, agriculture is a part of every parish of the state, and we want students from every parish to be a part of the College of Agriculture! We are offering a $1,000 scholarship to one eligible student from each parish.

First-year students who are Louisiana residents are automatically considered for this scholarship once they complete the general application in Blackbaud Award Management.

Continuing Students

LSU is excited to offer a new online scholarship system, Blackbaud Award Management, to help you with your scholarship search. This system will enable you to search for and apply to various available opportunities funded through the LSU Foundation. Deadline to apply is April 1.
