Annual Appeal
As 2024 comes to a close, we at Hilltop are thankful for your generosity that continues to makes our mission-driven work possible year-round.
This year, with your support, we restarted our children's programming by offering three childrens' camps; we hosted two successful garden tours; and we experienced an uptick in attendance to our existing programming due to our enhanced program offerings. On the site, we completed the installation of 65 beautiful new trees, thanks to your Emory Smith Legacy fund donations, and we hired two site interns to work our grounds this summer, making a significant difference in the upkeep of our site.
We cannot do this work alone! In addition to the 70 trusty volunteers who helped us put on record spring and fall plant sales, we coordinated 290 youth and adult volunteers who carried significant weight in helping us to maintain our site throughout the year.
Hilltop is growing, and we'd love for you to grow with us in 2025!
We are committed to providing enhanced experiences and unique educational programming for our visitors in 2025. It is our goal to grow our staff to assist with additional programs and events. As our new trees take shape, we plan to grow our site by improving upon existing plantings in the meadow and courtyard and establishing new plantings in strategic areas. The upgrade of existing site signage and installation of new meadow signage is also our priority, as we seek to communicate to visitors the importance of a place like Hilltop to the natural world.
