Participants learn about real geology research being done on Earth and Mars from LSU geologists and geology students.
Students in grades 7 and 8 are invited to apply for Geaux Science Explorations: Our Earth, Our Laboratory — a day of fun earth and energy science activities led by some of LSU's top geologists!
Learn about geology research at LSU on Earth and Mars, lunch and chat with LSU scientists and students, and explore research labs and rock samples.
Who's eligible to participate? Students in 7th and 8th grade with an interest in science.
How do you apply? Complete the 2023 Our Earth, Our Laboratory application form linked below. The application requires an essay, a parent authorization form, and a photography and social media release form that must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian.
