Vaccines Available This Thursday, April 1; 18 and older are eligible

Tuesday, March 30, 2021; 1:15 p.m.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

As of this week, everyone 18 and older is eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Louisiana, and those 16 and older are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.

We are excited that our partnership with the Louisiana National Guard to administer mass vaccinations on campus will continue this Thursday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tiger Stadium. You must schedule an appointment in advance to receive the vaccine on Thursday.

Location: The LSU vaccination site is located in the South Endzone of Tiger Stadium.  Enter through Gate 22. Parking is available in lot 401 across South Stadium Drive.

Registration: Visit to schedule your appointment. All appointments will be filled on a first come, first served basis. You must have a scheduled appointment to receive a vaccination. We will have limited quantities of the Moderna vaccine available.

The second dose of the vaccine will be administered on Thursday, April 29, during final exams week, at the same time of day as your first appointment. Please check your final exam schedule before registering for a vaccination appointment to ensure you’ll be available for the second dose.

Thursday, April 1: Please arrive at the vaccination site at your scheduled appointment time, allowing ample time for parking or walking to the site. You will be required to present identification at check-in. This can be your state issued or military identification card.

LSU will continue to provide updated information regarding additional vaccination events held on campus.

Once you receive the vaccine, whether at LSU or elsewhere, please let us know by completing the vaccine survey. This will help us determine how many of our community members still need to be vaccinated.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout the past year as we have dealt with this unprecedented situation. We look forward to a better fall semester!
