Campus Operations After Thanksgiving Holiday

Monday, November 23, 2020; 10:10 a.m.

Dear Colleagues,

This week, we will take a well-deserved break for the Thanksgiving holiday before heading into the final stretch of a fall semester that has been extremely trying and unlike any before. The pandemic has demanded tremendous resiliency and flexibility from our faculty and staff, and you have risen to the moment.

Because you have made many necessary adjustments and sacrifices, we have succeeded thus far in largely containing the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the vast majority of our students remain on track academically. We could not have done this without each and every one of you, and we want to send you our heartfelt thanks. Throughout this semester, we have been reminded time and time again of just how fortunate we are to work alongside you and serve this wonderful institution.

After we all enjoy our Thanksgiving break, all classes will transition to remote learning. Campus operations will continue as usual during this time to allow faculty and staff to serve our students. Faculty will have access to classrooms to facilitate remote instruction, and to their labs to conduct research. Campus offices will also remain open, except on designated university holidays.

Once again, thank you for rising to the challenges of this semester. We are so grateful for our progress and we look forward to building upon our momentum in the spring.
