Free COVID-19 Testing Available on Campus

Thursday, August 20, 2020; 9:15 a.m.

Dear LSU Community,

Free COVID-19 testing will be available on campus beginning today, Thursday, Aug. 20, for anyone who would like to be tested. This test detects an active COVID-19 infection. It is a self-administered test using a nasal swab in the front of the nostril.

Testing will be held at two locations on campus: in front of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC) and on the corner of Tower Drive and Free Speech Alley in front of the LSU Student Union. Both sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, beginning today. The testing sites will remain open at least until Aug. 29. All tests conducted at these two sites will be free of charge and do not require insurance. Test results are received within three to five days of the test.

Please pre-register using this link, When prompted, enter LSU’s zip code, 70803. After registration you will receive a voucher. Please print this voucher and present it at the testing site. On-site registration will be available; however, pre-registration allows for express testing

After Aug. 29, LSU will provide further information on any other testing options that may be available on campus. And LSU students can always contact the Student Health Center if they have symptoms of COVID-19, where testing is also available if recommended by a clinician.
