Biography

Tryfon Boukouvidis is a second-year doctoral student in the Manship School of Mass Communication. His research interests revolve around crisis communication, including media representation of economic crises and communication of extreme weather and climate information from emergency managers and meteorologists to the public. He is also interested in misinformation and the characteristics that make people vulnerable to bogus news content. Furthermore, Tryfon has been a member of Manship's Statehouse Bureau, a student wire service that covers state politics, for three consecutive years. His news pieces and photos have been featured in The Advocate, The Advertiser and The Shreveport Times among numerous other publications.
