The LSU Study Abroad Scholarship program is a volunteer program, managed and administered by LSU International Programs that enables domestic LSU students to meaningfully interact with international students through a variety of peer activities. The peer activities are designed to facilitate the immersion of international students into campus life and culture as well as LSU’s academic culture. At the same time, it will offer LSU domestic students the opportunity to have a cross-cultural experience that enhances their knowledge about other countries and cultures and when possible enables them to enhance their foreign language training. Domestic students can earn points for the successful completion of these activities. The points translate into funds for LSU Study Abroad Programs for undergraduate students. Graduate students can use the funds for international research-related activities.
