Planning Committees

Students may also serve as chairs or subcommittee chairs for the following planning committees.

Martin Luther King Commemorative Week Planning Committee - This committee consists of the chair for the entire week and subcommittee chairs for the Day of Service, Commemorative Keynote, Performing Arts Night, and Unity Celebration (this event rotates between LSU, Baton Rouge Community College and Southern University).

Black History Month Committee - This committee begins meeting in the Fall to plan for Black History Month events in February.

Undergraduate Student Worker Positions

The Office of Multicultural Affairs employs student workers who serve as Genesis Tutors, Student Leads, and General Office Workers.  Students are primarily hired through the President's Student Aide and Federal Work Study Job Assignments.
