Biographical Summary

Dr. Shinhee Jeong received her PhD from Texas A&M University (TAMU) in Human Resource Development. Her specific areas of research revolve around leadership and workplace learning and diversity. Additionally, she has a strong background in quantitative methodology including measurement validation and multi-level/multi-group analyses. Various research funds have supported her work, including the NSF ADVANCE grant. 

Dr. Jeong serves on a variety of scholarly committees and boards. She is Associate Editor for the Mentoring and Tutoring: Partnership in Learning Journal and a steering committee member for the Quantitative Research Methods special interest group for the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD). She also acts as a reviewer and editorial board member for multiple journals including the Human Resource Development Quarterly, the Leadership & Organization Development Journal, and the Journal of Workplace Learning. She has received several research awards, most notably, the 2021 LSU Alumni Association Rising Faculty Research Award and multiple best paper awards across various academic conferences such as the AHRD Conference in the Americas. She was also the recipient of the 2019 Association for Talent Development Dissertation Award. 

Dr. Jeong had also worked as a training program manager at the Korean Labor Education Institute and as an assistant researcher for more than six years at the Korea Research Institute of Vocational Education and Training in South Korea.
