Biographical Summary

Jody Hammett is a human resources and safety consultant for Hammett Resources and an adjunct instructor in Leadership & Human Resource Development at LSU. Jody brings 20 years of administrative and human resource development experience to assist with workforce needs. With a PhD in Human Resource Education and Workforce Development from Louisiana State University, compounding on an undergraduate degree in psychology, Jody focuses on the people in an organization. His mindset is that maximizing each individual’s potential is the key to the success of the organization as a whole. This starts with hiring the right people for the job and matching existing employees’ strengths and skill set to company needs. It continues with a commitment to lifelong learning and utilizing training to further develop employees while recognizing that the company culture and leadership skills of management ultimately shape the outcome of talent development and the safety of employees.

Jody’s experience includes 13 years of higher education administration, 10 years of teaching in higher education, 7 years of retail management, and 5 years of human resource and safety management in industrial construction, where his team achieved top honors in safety programming and performance in cities across the gulf coast.
